It was enacted in 2013 following guidelines from the *Vishaka Guidelines*. The Act legally requires organizations to prevent and address sexual harassment of women at work.
Unwelcome physical contact or advances
Demand or request for sexual favors
Making sexually colored remarks
Showing pornography
Any other unwelcome physical, verbal, or non-verbal conduct of a sexual nature
Offices, companies, NGOs
Hospitals, schools, colleges
Both organized and unorganized sectors
Includes remote/work-from-home environments
